Overwhelmed by the gravity and ugliness of my sin today. It’s not a joke. It’s not funny. It is an offense to a Holy God and condemns me to death. Yet it was paid for by the tortured shed blood of Jesus in the greatest demonstration of LOVE and OBEDIENCE the world will ever know!
I’d like to pitch out a theory that this thing we call *ghosting* may be connected to a prophetic word in Scripture. You know what I mean. The disappearing act of someone in our lives, social circles or faith communities without any explanation or one that doesn’t hold water.
Sorrowful this morning that we who are in Christ are not kinder to one another. That we extend so little grace and patience to one another. There’s so much pain and suffering here. We were meant to make the road a little easier for each other. Not shove the other down on it.
“If people are proud and unreasonable, misguided and selfish, love them anyway. If you are kind, and people say that you do it for selfish reasons, be kind anyway. If you succeed, but find only untrue friends, and true enemies, succeed anyway” -Mother Teresa
“Aslan," said Lucy, "you're bigger.”
"That is because you are older, little one," answered he.
"Not because you are?"
"I am not. But every year you grow, you will find me bigger.”
Happy Lord’s Day, all! Praying the Lord’ll do for each in our gatherings what He did for Lydia in Acts 16:14. He “opened her heart to pay attention” to what was said. Our minds are now conditioned to dart around like bird dogs in a quail cage. We could use a divine work of focus!
God spoke life into existence at the very beginning. His Word speaks life into dead souls even still. Why do we continue to try and walk daily without His very breath ... His very Word? No wonder we are all sucking wind in this race. We aren’t taking time to breathe life.
