UPDATE!! Planes, trains and automobiles! Return train trip to #Florence has been a complete Charlie Foxtrot. 1st #train? Cancelled. 2nd train? Cancelled. @Uber? #DynamicPricing put us at 832€. Finally talked a taxi into driving us that far. Currently riding with a maniac, driving 120km/h, in and out of traffic like it’s nothing, still have an hour and 15 minutes left and the bill is already up to 69.15€. No idea how much this is going to cost, but at least we don’t have to sleep in the #Pisa train station, so there’s that. #Italy #Vacation #ItalianTrainStrike

Final update from Pisa. Did the tourist thing and climbed the tower with my dad and my youngest. Unfortunately the train system is shot to hell and all the trains back to Florence are cancelled. Trying to find some ride back to our place. Looks like a 220€ taxi ride it is. Ugh. #Italy #Strike.

I spent a couple of days in Ljubljana, Slovenia earlier this week and fell in love with the place. Will definitely be back at some point.
