It is with sadness that I have had to tender my resignation as Minister for International Development and for Women and Equalities.
While I disagree with the ODA decision, I continue to support the government and its determination to deliver the change our country needs.
In Africa, hunger and extreme poverty are rising, partly because African nations are stuck in a debt crisis.
The UK can help end this debt crisis and reduce extreme poverty. And we can do this for free.

She is a British consultant surgeon and in 2005 Ms Tross became the first Black female orthopaedic surgeon in Britain.
She was born in Guyana 🇬🇾 and specialises treating conditions of the hip and knee. ❤️🙏🏾
