@Kacey_Combs For me, the story centers on intention. That intention braids into everything else on the page. EX: If he’s thirsty, he’s not just crossing to the table for water. He’s clicking his tongue, clearing his throat, saying less but still talking. Giving that, “Ah” once he’s sated.
@MJG_Write I'm super impressed that @HeatherCashman is your agent. Not querying yet, but her posts are so insightful. You definitely got a good one. RESPECT! Thank you for sharing this, Marc. You deserve all the success!
Where are my writers who (when another character is on the phone) draft entire conversations so you know what’s being said on the other line—even though it won’t end up on the page? Just me? 🥰

@Authoralexp Yes! And then trying to learn the meaning of the name so that the symbolism isn’t lost to some readers. I struggle with this more with last names, for sure.
@rclark98 This one stings! One of the most memorable performances in a Western. Also one of my favorites. The way he developed the complexity of this character was incredible. (Giving me Dutch vibes, too!) Sending love and light to his family.
Got some author love today. I’m currently wrapping up a second novel, BUT if I’m going to get an agent (goal) & traditional publisher (goal), I need to let folks who know more lead the way. This takes trust AND time. I’m willing to wait for it.
