Congratulations to everyone involved and to the NSW Government for completing this assessment. An enormous task. A similar task now is for regular updates and communicating the benefits to the community.
@RaphRoadSafety Agree. We need parliamentarians to be held accountable for failing to provide a safe, well regulated , well made and well enforced road network.Let’s have double demerit points for Ministers who call for another review, another round table. Implement known safety solutions now.
@AAAcomms@iRAPSavingLives Maybe we could be innovative enough to have a annual percentage reduction of the amount of dangerous ie one star roads per year? Or be bold enough to have a target that 80% of traffic is on three star roads by 2030 or really bold to have 80% of traffic on 4 star roads by 2040???
Thanks for the opportunity to congratulate the Centre for its major contribution to researching, evaluating and encouraging so many safe system factors in road safety over 50 years. We all need to keep building on the successes which have seen a dramatic…https://t.co/RW8MVXhJRK
So valuable to recognise the contribution the Centre and its predecessor, the Road Accident Research Unit have made under the leadership of Jack McLean, Mary Lydon and Jeremy Woolley in 50 years to reducing road trauma in so many areas. Congratulations!
Both well deserved for real contributions to researching, finding, advocating and encouraging implementation of many activities to reducing trauma in road crashes. Mentoring so many, making voluntary contributions especially through professional bodies are…https://t.co/5DWqOY7a4R
There are many successes in reducing road trauma, time to build on them. Let’s encourage the aspiration that road travel can be safe! See some great results here https://t.co/6RXZ5NXKco https://t.co/DAIrRKRzTM
🆕 | The results are in for the small car group in the updated moderate overlap crash test.
None of the five small cars IIHS tested earns a good rating.

@CarsGuide Many local government areas have achieved some years with zero fatalities (see Vision Zero Dashboard Office of Road Safety website https://t.co/rO8ZIEY9o2
Improving road safety maybe a shared responsibility but we cannot allow accountability to shared. No passing the blame.
@CatherineKingMP Let’s hope specified improvements to ensure the safety star ratings of all road funding remains a critical priority. As you said a decade ago when Road Safety Minister “we must do more to improve road safety “. Stay the course!
#roadsafety Time for the Federal Govt responsible minister #catherineking and all the Cabinet to get over FOBFO ie the fear of being found out, by ensuring all Federal road funds for the States are made contingent on SAFE roads being built and the resulti…https://t.co/i6EGnut18e
@CatherineKingMP@solarcitizens And what is the total environmental and road safety footprint. Where do all the minerals needed come from? What is the crash rate?
@_JamesSteward_@AAAcomms Tying $s to road safety outcomes is common sense not bribery. The extra &s the previous Govt put up for specific infrastructure with safety outcomes were for all road users, it needs to be encouraged.
Thanks Brett. The study results of course do need not only reading but accepting by many road safety commentators and especially by the providers of the infrastructure (governments and their parliamentarians) and vehicles (car, truck, bike, scooter etc) m…https://t.co/UiNxfrSgaW
