👯♀️ Our twin study team recently visited the King's Brain Bank 🧠 at the @SGDPCentreKCL within the @KingsIoPPN! We study how genes and life experiences shape mental health. Seeing how donated brain tissue helps research gave us a new perspective on how it all connects.
New Brain Bank paper! Delighted to see this paper published - based on an observation from our clinical records and initially carried out as an MSc project - a great team effort now published in our favourite journal 🙂@LNDBrainBank@NAN_Wiley#KCLMScNeuroscience
New publication using tissue from the Brain Bank - great to see this collaborative study out!
Frontiers | Accumulation of TDP-43 causes karyopherin-α4 pathology that characterises amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Professor Safa Al-Sarraj, Consultant Neuropathologist and Director of the brain bank, receives an #OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to neuropathology.
