🔐 Building a More Cyber-Resilient IGAD Region
The IGAD Cyber Drill 2026 has entered its fourth day, with Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) teams from IGAD Member States actively responding to simulated cyber incidents in a realistic, collaborative environment.
The first two days focused on strengthening cybersecurity policy, governance, and regional cooperation, while Day 3 shifted to practical digital forensics and incident response exercises.
By combining policy discussions with hands-on technical training, the Cyber Drill is enhancing national capacities, fostering regional collaboration, and advancing a safer, more cyber-resilient IGAD region.

Hosted by INSA under the Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP), the five-day exercise aims to strengthen regional cyber resilience, enhance cross-border cooperation, and improve coordinated responses to cyber threats.
INSA reaffirmed that cybersecurity is a shared regional responsibility and called for sustained cooperation, institutionalized cyber drills, and enhanced information sharing to build a secure and resilient digital future.
📌 INSA will host the IGAD Regional Cyber Drill 2026 in Addis Ababa from June 26–30, 2026.
The exercise will simulate real-world cyber incidents to strengthen cyber readiness, incident response capabilities, and regional cooperation among IGAD Member States.
