around 500 people visited our Plant and Craft Fair! It was a wonderful day. A HUGE THANK YOU to all our volunteers and stall holders but mostly to everyone who attended to make this, our first attempt at running the Plant Fair, a huge success. a few photos below (M Phillips)
What a turnout ! Over 40 two legged walkers with lots of four legged friends gathered on a misty morning for a lovely walk around the Little Ouse Fens led by our extremely knowledgeable trustee Nigel Clark. Thanks to all who participated and hope you had a lovely time.
A great morning representing @WaLORPM with @AdrianRamsay. There really is potential for a nature-based solution that brings stability for landowners, climate resilience to communities and space for nature. Multi-sector Collaboration is key. @EnvAgency@DefraGovUK@suffolkwildlife
I visited the River Waveney floodplain with Daniel @AcroDWade from @SuffolkWildlife to look at plans for an inspiring river re-meandering and landscape recovery project - a win for nature, flood management and carbon capture. We need @DefraGovUK to back this project and many more like it to help #NatureRecovery.
A pleasure to speak at a packed AGM of Little Ouse Headwaters Project.
It's inspiring to see so many volunteers involved in the fantastic work for landscape scale nature recovery.
Nature recovery needs far higher priority across government to meet crucial targets
@LOHProject
This is such a retrograde step. Supporting farmers to protect the environment is vital if we are to restore nature & reverse the decline in wildlife. Many want to do this - but need the financial support
Cutting it off lets down those farmers who've risen to the challenge & puts nature recovery at risk. Govt should think again
"It was great to show @AdrianRamsay of @TheGreenParty our fen reserves and discuss some of the issues we face.
We look forward to welcoming him at our AGM on Dec 6 to hear his thoughts on supporting and scaling up landscape recovery
It was good to meet trustees of the Little Ouse Headwaters Project to hear about progress in caring for this section of the river
The project manages areas of land alongside the Little Ouse river, with the aim of increasing biodiversity & more public access @LOHProject
