Meet Branden Leslie, Pierre Poilievre’s newest Conservative MP.
Watch as he promises to push his party even farther to the right with his pro-life, pro-convoy, pro-conversion therapy views.
Canadians deserve to know that Branden’s goal is to push the CPC even farther right.
Our mothers fought hard to ensure that all women in Canada have the fundamental right of autonomy over our own bodies. At a time when women’s rights around the world are being rolled back, we can not accept a reopening of the abortion debate in Canada. We will always stand up for reproductive rights and freedom of women to choose, at home and around the world. And this Conservative candidate also says that under Pierre Pollievre the Conservatives are supportive of the convoy that caused immense harm and traumatized the people of Ottawa, including my constituents. Shame.
Pro-life legislation threatens the rights of women all across Canada, and Pierre Polievere’s conservatives don’t care.
Our Liberal government will never stop fighting to protect those rights, just like we did the other day by voting down the conservatives’ pro-life bill.
Women’s rights are not up for debate. Not now, not ever.
And yet, still we see Pierre Poilievre & the Conservative Party introducing legislation & embracing candidates who want to take away women’s fundamental rights.
In 🇨🇦, women have the right to choose. They’ve had this right since the 1980s. After knocking doors with @BenCarrwpg, I can tell you that people care more about the well-being of their community than re-litigating whether women have the right to make decisions about their bodies.
This week we voted down the latest attempt the Poilievre-led CPC made to reopen the abortion debate (i.e. Bill C-311).
And his handpicked candidate in Manitoba now brazenly promotes himself as “pro-life & pro-convoy”.
Everyday we get more clarity on who Poilievre is! #cdnpoli
So Pierre Poilievre’s candidate thinks I can be ‘spiritually counselled’ out of my gayness.
We banned conversion therapy by unanimous consent of every MP. But this guy wouldn’t have stood for that.
Yet another objector to freedom.
The freedom to be who you are.
Watch this. Here's Pierre Poilievre's Conservative candidate in Manitoba proudly campaigning as "pro-life" and "pro-convoy."
When people show you who they are, believe them. They will take away a woman's right to choose and openly support the damaging convoy occupation.
We need a local champion to represent Oxford in Parliament – and David Hilderley is that candidate.
In his own words, watch the Conservative candidate, Arphan Khanna, describe his connection to Brampton. ⬇️
We need more women in the House of Commons.
@annamgainey and @kerrysmith_mb are ready to work with our Liberal team as we continue investing in child care, defending reproductive rights, and building an economy that’s seeing women’s participation reaching an all-time high.
Pierre Poilievre’s candidate in NDG-Westmount believes women vote based on looks.
“It’s demeaning to all women. It’s misogynistic. [...] If this was not part of a pattern, perhaps we could dismiss it, but it is part of a Conservative strategy.” – @RachelBendayan
Here are just a few reasons why Canadian women support us:
✔Historic investments in child care
✔Common-sense gun control reforms
✔Defending reproductive rights
✔Protecting our environment
✔️A feminist international assistance policy
❌Candidate’s physical appearance
🚨 Watch this: Pierre Poilievre’s candidate in NDG-Westmount says that women voted for Justin Trudeau ‘because of physical attraction reasons’
Poilievre needs to denounce his candidate’s sexist comments, even if we know this is how Conservative politicians view women.
🧵 When Pierre Poilievre was here in Manitoba last week he had an opportunity to stand up for a woman’s right to choose.
While his “100% pro-life” candidate promises to support anti-choice legislation, Pierre Poilievre stayed silent.
Watch this:
Pierre Poilievre’s candidate in Oxford calls himself a 'proud Bramptonian,' a community more than 100km away from the one he's running to represent — and his priorities are just as far from the people and families in the riding.
@Hilderley2023 is the strongest voice for Oxford.
The Conservative candidate in Oxford, Arpan Khanna, says he’s a “proud Bramptonian,” so why is he trying to be the next MP for our community?
I’m voting for David Hilderley because he has deep roots in our community, and I know he will be a champion for everyone in Oxford.
Earlier this week, Conservative MPs Leslyn Lewis, Colin Carrie, and Dean Allison met with Christine Anderson, a member of the dangerous, far-right German AfD Party. 1/
