Letter Collectors- Roll the ball and knock down pins. Each pin has a letter on it that you “collect” by writing it on the whiteboard. At the end teams write words with the letters collected. #PhysEd
At the start of the school year we go over restroom etiquette and play Toilet Tag. Get tagged, you freeze into a “toilet”, another student must “flush” to unfreeze. #PhysEd
Escape to Summer Tag- Each gr starts in “class” on a mat. The taggers are “teachers” & try to send Ss back to class. Each mat is assigned a fun place to go I.e. beach, park. When your group is called you run around the gym until tagged. Bonus: the real teachers came to play!
PE Pokémon Go- Each team starts with the same number of Pokemon cards. If you knock a Pokemon off a cone or catch a ball thrown by the other team, you earn a Pokémon card. Run to the other side to get the card out of their bucket. #PhysEd
Going Over the Hedge- team of Squirrels vs Chipmunks, throw “acorns” over the hedge. On freeze signal, try to clean up your acorns and put them in the hoops the fastest to win the round. #PhysEd@CapnPetesPE
Paramedic pandemonium- roll the ball across to the opposite side. If a ball touches your feet you are “injured” and wait for the ambulance(scooter) to pick you up and take you to the hospital. Do 10 exercises to heal and get back in. @pe2themax#PhysEd
Old school Frogger- the taggers are the cars and have to stay in their lanes(line on floor). When frogs make it across they get a bean bag and run back through the alley. #PhysEd
Swamp Ball- throw balls back and forth over the swamp. If a ball lands in the swamp or the “gators” get it they put it in their baskets. If a player catches a ball that makes it across the swamp, they put it in their baskets. They can count points at the end. #PhysEd
@pauljohn247 We played that version w/ 3-5 with the points. For K-2 we put the noodles on the floor and called them gators and had Ss practice throwing across the "swamp" to another player.
Winter Games: Snowman Tag- If you get frozen by the taggers you turn into a snow person. When a rescuer heats you up, turn back into a kid. @CoachGelardi#PhysEd
Winter Games: Head To Head Snowman- 2 teams face off and try to collect more of the “snowman” by rolling the yarn ball to land in a hoop. @justybubPE#PhysEd
