@toobaffled Well you need a nationalised health service, don’t you, otherwise you can’t trust doctors to protect your best interests. And also, so it isn’t only the well off who get health care. That’s not ethical.
@PetraSola72@1goodtern Someone actually said that to me. Covid-conscious, I have avoided indoor gatherings since 2020 and am novid, but the crowded funeral of a beloved friend rendered me bed-bound over Christmas. Not covid - flu. He said it was because my immune system had had no exercise. 1
@Mindgoop@1goodtern Wrap up and sit outside. There’s a cafe near where I live which has no indoor seating. It provides blankets. Coffee is delicious, as are its fresh pastries. It’s always hopping, whatever the weather.
@DaveWEllis2249@MichaelRosenYes Bungalows give you ‘bungalow legs’ though. It’s a thing. Stairs with a rail each side, plus appropriate caution is the way to go.

@dearhumi_blues@MichaelRosenYes I met someone (on a research project on peer support for people paralyzed by spinal cord injuries) who tripped down a curb and ended up paralyzed from the neck down. Be careful out there.
