@IanKelly1987 @MartinSLewis Or get a credit card, spend £50 on it, pay it back every month and allow the limit to go up, but still only use the small amount you pay off every month. Minimal interest, not in crippling debt, credit score improves

@DanielCalver1 @MartinSLewis Age of accounts can effect credit scoring, but if you are switching banks, not so you would notice. Age of accounts usually comes into new borrowing and indicates a potential issue if you are taking out lots of new loans etc and could struggling with money.
