#Lupus is an autoimmune disease that disproportionately affects women: 9 out of 10 adults with lupus are women and most women who develop lupus are between the ages of 15 and 44.
On top of the increased risk factor young women already face, black, Hispanic and Asian women are more likely to get lupus than white women—and often experience more severe side effects #lupusfacts
Each person with lupus has slightly different symptoms that can range from mild to severe and may come and go over time. However, some of the most common symptoms of lupus include painful or swollen joints (arthritis), unexplained fever, and extreme fatigue. #symptomsoflupus
