The Electoral Commission is today hosting a Digital Creators Lab aimed at engaging social media content creators on electoral processes, civic responsibility, and the importance of active participation in democracy. This seminar forms part of the Commission’s broader efforts to strengthen public engagement, particularly among young people ahead of the 2026/27 Local Government Elections (LGE).

In response to increasing misinformation and disinformation in the digital space, the Lab empowers content creators with accurate, authoritative information on electoral democracy.

By partnering with digital voices, the Commission seeks to support voter education, amplify credible LGE messaging across online platforms, and build long-term relationships with the digital creator community—extending the reach and impact of its civic education efforts.
