The results are in! 🗳
In our class election of Oreo vs Chocolate Chop Cookie…OREO WINS!!
We learned about voting and how an election works then had their own opportunity to go vote. This morning, we tallied and graphed the votes and analyzed our results. #schenectadylearns
Anchor chart my class and I created after finishing state testing of all the amazing parts of them that can never be measured by a test. They are all smart, caring, beautiful people whose worth has nothing to do with a test score! 🧠❤️ #statetesting#schenectadystrong@SCSchools
This is definitely going to be a yearly tradition!! My students all loved their books and were all so excited. Thank you so much to everyone that helped make this happen! 🥰 Great way to head off to winter break - with great new books!! #readingisfun@SCSchools@Howeschnctdy
We had a pumpkin day today!🎃We used adjectives to describe a pumpkin, learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, counted pumpkin seeds by sorting them into groups of tens and ones, then finished the day creating jack ‘o lanterns and writing about them! @SCSchools#HoweElementary
Today, we celebrated #DotDay in our classroom. After reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and listening to his introduction to Dot Day, Howe students “made their mark” by creating their own dot creations! @peterhreynolds #makeyourmark#thedot#schenectadyrising
We had a wonderful Writer’s Celebration this morning to honor all of the beautiful, published writing that our fabulous 4th grade writers created over the past month of Summer Enrichment! ✏️📖 @SCSchools#HoweSEP
Our 4th graders at Howe’s SEP learned all about African dancing today and we all had a blast!! Thank you so much to our special guests for coming today. @SCSchools#HoweSEP
Beautiful work by some of Howe Elementary’s 4th grade writers about their favorite part of themselves after analyzing the author’s craft from ‘The Best Part of Me’. #HoweSEP@SCSchools
