The reason the photo helped is not that they didn't have a photo of the artifact but that the photo was widely distributed and someone overseas who knew the looters recognized it and tipped off the authorities.

The snitch was actually one of the looters who saw the quoted value on the news reports with the photos and he realized that his partners had stiffed him out of a fair share, which is why he turned them in.

There is a senior center near to me, the seniors are not homeless,but I do believe some are very lonely. Many do not hear from their children very often. There is a homeless shelter about 12 miles away, and there are many foodbanks run by churches in my area here in central Florida. I would do little things to help a senior in need if I knew of one. But not rich or anything.
