This is an incredible story of defense against bots/agents.

For his recent Minted New York x Saucony collab drop, @marcusmilione beat sneaker bots by hiding the real listing and making the fake shoes weigh 10,000 pounds.

After getting slammed by bots on a previous shoe drop, he went to 𝕏 and asked past buyers and current botters how to slow them down.

His solution was to create two decoy listings with the correct shoe name, metadata, and structure, then hide the real shoe listing behind a version with none of the searchable terminology attached.

The final trap was making the decoy shoes weigh 10,000 pounds, which meant the bots could not get a shipping rate and the checkout broke.

99% of the real orders ended up being manual.
