@GarandThumb1@NKY_Sapper I'm sticking with 28 in the PMAG. Deliberately putting in less ammo than the mag can hold makes me feel like an expert with special knowledge.
@realokie17@wbuxtonofficial "Peak oil" declarations have been wrong repeatedly. We have even found wells that were previously dried up to be full of oil again.
@9mmsmg He may still have that old wit and humor in him, but it could take a while for his neurochemistry to rebalance enough that he can express it without the booze.
@RaoulGMI Quite a good analogy. You start being able to detect subtle degradations in output quality long before you get warnings about context limit. It really is like the AI is starting to get tired.
@WolframRvnwlf@alex_prompter Agreed. The point of AI is to offload thinking. If I have to put more effort into prompt generation for a similar quality of output, then it's a regression.
@docstaff@LargeFamDad@metropolyse@ContrarianSaver@DeniseF64462030 It's not really criticizing the child free so much as pointing out that the materialism our society idolizes so much tends to pale in comparison to the days of life, laughter, and love you have as a parent.
@pathikghugare@nlw It literally ran for over 10 minutes today to readd one makefile target to another. I gave it the exact file to work in and mentioned that the target was broken in the last commit to touch the file, and somehow it took 10 minutes to add <10 characters to a single line.
@eniwhere_@aaronjmars 4.7 takes a lot of hand holding, and you have to be extremely careful with what you allow in the context window. 4.6 felt more like a junior engineer you could point in the right direction and just let it figure things out.
@CoreyJMahler@AlphaSoupNotSee The ongoing Artemis 2 mission is going to the moon and not landing on it. Landing and returning requires a more complex vehicle.
Not that I disagree with your original post. We have certainly landed on the moon, multiple times.
