We are appalled and shocked at @cambridgeunion's decision to invite Tzipi Hotovely to give a monologue on Tuesday 8th February, and legitimise her extreme racist ideology. In response, we have co-written an open letter condemning the Cambridge Union: https://t.co/uAmjmLVDuY. 1/4
We are currently undertaking a vote to find out student views on whether LSE Students' Union should support the UCU strike action from 1st-3rd December at LSE.

🚨 SOLIDARITY ASSEMBLY IN SUPPORT OF STUDENTS FROM @LSEforPalestine AND THE LSE PALESTINE SOCIETY 🚨
Thursday, 18 November, 12 noon, in front of LSE Library👇 co-organised by LSE staff and Decolonising LSE
Come and support @LSEforPalestine and the LSE Palestine Society and show your solidarity for protesters targeted following the Hovetely rally on Tuesday🇰🇼✊🟥
🚨URGENT CALL FOR ACTION🚨
Since the Debate Society and SU are going through with platforming Tzipi Hotovely, an avowed anti Palestinian racist and islamophobe, we will be protesting.
Let’s make noise to disrupt this event! BRINGS POTS, PANS, FLAGS AND SIGNS!
The four fights (pay, equality, precarity, workload) dispute result is out. At LSE:
Turnout: 57.1% (higher than for USS)
For strike: 84.6%
For action short of a strike: 93.2%
Another startling result. Huge mandates for these fights as much as for pensions. Enough is enough.
Now it's time for @lsesu to come out in full solidarity with our exploited staff. The marketised system of HE that has pushed them to the brink is responsible for our fees, course cuts, and the exploitation of international students - students and staff have to stand together!✊
Absolutely incredible result from @LSE_UCU - we are fully behind you and will do everything we can to support you! Solidarity from students we love you❤️✊✊🟥

The USS dispute results are in.
Turnout: 55.1%
For strike action: 89.1%
For action short of a strike: 95.5%
A huge local result, strengthening our LSE branch in all matters.
Thank you for voting. We await the decisions of the Higher Education Committee on what comes next.
An occasionally updated mega-thread of FAQs as members contemplate their choice in the pensions and four fights disputes.

.@TheUnionUCL's position on the @UCL_UCU strike ballot is a DISGRACE - every UCL sabb who voted in favour should be ashamed. Most students spoke in favour of UCU support but were ignored. Students and staff must stand in solidarity against marketisation and management cuts!
Massive solidarity with every @ucu member voting for strike action.
Marketised HE affects all of us - staff and students alike - and this brutal cost-cutting benefits no one except uni managements and their fat cat salaries.
Students are right behind you!✊🟥
We’ll believe @BorisJohnson promises to bring Afghan @CheveningFCDO students to the UK when it happens. Until then, Afghan students should be allowed to bring their families to the UK. Leaving the students & their families to the Taliban would only mean death. #CheveningCorrupt

UPDATE: The UoL Rent Strike is withholding £725,049.29 in rent, with 237 of us still holding out!! (FOI Request)
This is far higher than we initially thought, with the sign up sheet turning out to be a huge underestimate✊🔥
