Watching the new Dux DVD of Weinberg’s “The Passenger”. Am struck by the comment of Krzysztof Olendski, director of the Adam Mickiewicz Inst.: “‘The Passenger’ is a shocking work. It is a guardian of memory, which should be cultivated by all.” Now more than ever.
@metpoliceuk please investigate Nigel Farage for inciting violence. Whilst you’re at it have a look at his £5m gift and who bought his house. He looks like a criminal hiding in plain sight to me. But you can prove or disprove this. I can’t.
@ZiaYusufUK Farage AND bust for Britain.
The one incites the other.
Incitement is a moot point, though, isn’t it, for someone who should be arrested for knowingly inciting a riot.
The expectation that Brown people must collectively answer for the actions of one individual creates a standard that few others are asked to meet. Collective apologies don't promote accountability, they reinforce the notion that Brown Britons are outsiders whose loyalty and belonging are always subject to scrutiny.
We're not guests in British society. We're part of it. Accountability belongs to the individual who committed the act, not to an entire community.
Henry Nowak’s family have lost their son and brother in the most appalling circumstances.
Nigel Farage is exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division.
It’s completely unforgivable.
DO NOT BLAME ALL THE SIKHS UK FOR ONE BAD APPLE , THEY ARE LOVELY PEOPLE , HELPFUL , THEY FEED THE HOMELESS AND HAVE LIVED IN THE UK FOR 170 YEARS PEACEFULLY , THEY FOUGHT IN WARS WITH OUR MEN AND LOST THEIR LIVES TOO SO HAVE RESPECT FOLKS 🙏
@MoonPavilion@JeanJCSibelius And it’s pretty good, no playing to the gallery or cheap interpretative gimmicks, good, honest Sibelius playing from a band whose tradition goes back to the composer himself.
