Congratulations to D. Halliwell who has returned from Florida with a great collection of medals and an overall title of 2nd in the World, finishing as Runner-Up of the World Gymnastics Championships. Her achievement includes a Gold in Beam and Bronze in both Floor and Bars.
Lisbon Sports Tour Inspection Visit- Day 3: a trip to see the netball & football facilities that the pupils will use next April. Finished off with a stadium tour of Benfica’s ground. The pupils will love the hotel & sports facilities next year. A very reassuring trip.
Lisbon Sports Tour 2024 Inspection Visit update- arrived safely at the hotel from the airport yesterday. The Hotel facilities are excellent & perfect for a large group of staff and pupils. The beach is very close by too.

A huge well done to Yr7 that took part in their inter-house PE today. A brilliant display of sporting values displayed with certain individuals being highlighted for displaying certain values particularly well. House Josephine Bakhita came our victorious, winning overall.

A huge well done to the Year 9 Rounders team who came 2nd in this afternoons South Ribble Tournament. A superb display of teamwork and determination with brilliant batting and fielding skills.

competitive game together. Even though the team lost,
there were some great individual performances and a
lot of positives to take from the game. Well done to all

A huge congratulations to our U14 Athletics Team, who finished 4th overall in the South Ribble competition. There were some brilliant individual and team performances, which resulted in a number of bronze, silver and gold medals.
This afternoon, our Y9 Sports Leadership Academy pupils have had the opportunity to watch Lancashire v Leicestershire in a T20 game at Old Trafford. This was in part, to thank them for their efforts linked to their leadership roles this academic year.
Lancashire Cup Champions & thoroughly deserved! Our Year 9 football team beat Clitheroe Grammar School 3-1 in the final tonight AFC Darwen. After being 1-0 down at half time, the team rallied in the second half and scored three quick goals (Ball x2 and Hall). What an achievement!
