What a great surprise and treat from 7LE today. The contents have been devoured and I look forward to using my face mask during the holidays. Some great tips too. Feel very privileged to have received my random act of kindness. Diolch @FirstGiveUK
October is Black History Month! We want our pupils to be ethically informed citizens ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of Welsh society. Over the next month we will be posting videos, quotes and pictures from important BAME figures in Welsh and British history!
Today marks 55 years since the Aberfan disaster, killing 116 children and 28 adults.
“One minute you were a young lad looking forward to the half-term holidays, next minute I had death on my shoulder"
Let’s have the families thoughts in our hearts today ❤️

There has been positive feedback about the 'Improving Literacy in Secondary School' guidance report - & the importance of 'disciplinary literacy' (the subject specific elements of developing literacy). It would be great to hear from schools who have translated it into action.
It can sometimes be better to have less questions to encourage students to recall more detail & allow for more meaningful feedback & reflection time.
I simply adapt my RP grid, it still promotes spaced retrieval practice 🧠👍🏻 Free editable template here https://t.co/FYrBBeJ5Xz
