This week LSTC hosted our annual Homecoming, complete with conversations about the future of LSTC, learning about the neuroscience of implicit bias, and, of course, the recognition of four distinguished alumni. Thanks to all who joined in on the festivities!

Gary M. Simpson (Christ Seminary-Seminex, 1976, MDiv; 1983, ThD) will receive the Faithful Servant Award when LSTC honors distinguished alumni Oct. 14 during Homecoming (Zoom and Facebook, 6 p.m. CST). Gary is professor emeritus of systematic theology at Luther Seminary.
John Kotovsky (1998, MDiv) will receive the Specialized Ministry Award from LSTC Oct. 14 during Homecoming (via Zoom and Facebook, 6 p.m. CST) when the seminary honors distinguished alumni. John is chief mission officer for Lutheran Senior Services (LSS), St. Louis, Mo.
David L. Hedlin (1978, MDiv) will receive the Excellence in Parish Ministry Award Oct. 14 during LSTC's Homecoming activities. The presentation will be on Zoom and LSTC’s Facebook page at 6 p.m. CST. David is pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, New Lenox, Ill.
Ronald Glusenkamp (Christ Seminary-Seminex, 1980, MDiv) will receive a Distinguished Alumni Award Oct. 14 during LSTC’s Homecoming. The ceremony will be featured on Zoom and livestreamed on LSTC’s Facebook page at 6 p.m. CST. Ron will receive the Called to Lead Award.
Kara Baylor (2000, MDiv) will receive the Witness to the World Award Oct. 14 during LSTC's Homecoming (6 p.m. CST on Zoom and Facebook). Kara, campus pastor at Carthage College, claimed her public voice with her blog, Pissed Off Pastor – Righteous Anger Pushing for Reformation.
