@alexandrajwhite Miss seeing you @ BBC, Lexi!!!! I’ve been doing the outdoor camps which have been lovely. I’m still so hesitant to try indoor workouts, even with all the precautions in place...
The absolute warmest twitter welcome to my Day 1 public health buddy @IngolTl! So excited to continue learning from you during our overlapping time @ UNC (and beyond!). Your drive and passion inspire me!! Keep getting after it, lady💙
@rach_smit Relatable!! For what it’s worth, my plan is to meet w/ faculty who work with data/topics that interest me. After reading more on ~3 topics, practice writing spec aims on each topic. Hoping one of those three aims pages excites me 😁 (cannot attest to success of this method yet)
Working with and learning from fantastic people such as @mf_gallo@noodle_o and @BillMiller_Epi 😊
I also wanted to find a way to unify my love for math/statistics and public health. Voila... Epidemiology!
Happy FDOC ft. foggy glasses and a corny t-shirt that always keeps me going. Despite the circumstances, I have a good feeling about this year (last QE, wrapping up MSPH, TAing..) Cant wait to tackle year 3/n!
There are still 4 million North Carolinians who haven’t completed the census yet. Filling it out takes less than 10 minutes and benefits our whole state. Get counted today at https://t.co/dWkW1VJKwK.

My latest in @NatureHumBehav . Academia owes @smileitsjoy & @DrShardeDavis A LOT for #BlackInTheIvory. In response, I saw a lot of "listening & learning." Black academics (Esp #ECR) don't have time for listening & learning. There are things to be done now

Have been loving ALL of the articles by @JuliaLMarcus in @TheAtlantic, but this one might be my new fave.
Shaming students will NOT solve the problem of university campus’ lack of preparedness.
I believe if all US leaders, including #Babyboomers and #GenX, increase testing and tracing capacity and make responsible, evidence-based policy, we can get the #COVID19 epidemic under control.
Hi. I wrote what was on my mind during the medical establishment’s response to the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade. TLDR, this needs to be more than lip service. @undarkmag https://t.co/rdnwUkXIJe
McCauley, my (temporary) #EpiPuppy, thinks reading is cool and all, but he’s demanding some undivided love&attention right now, per usual.
Well, if you insist...
