"Today I say to all volunteers around the globe: Thank you.
For choosing to improve the world. For finding inspiration to act. For creating solutions.
For keeping our hopes alive."
@ToilyKurbanov, UNV Executive Coordinator on #IVD2023. #IfEveryoneDid
"Volunteers are the unsung heroes working tirelessly to rescue those trapped under rubble.
They step in when there is no mechanism to reach the front line.
This is the reality of volunteers who, despite everything, just don't give up." @AminaJMohammed on #IVD2023#IfEveryoneDid

Great to see @BBCCountryfile discussing Social Prescribing. Getting outdoors and connecting with your local area is good for your health. To find a Link Worker ask your GP. We have Link Workers in Blackpool, Garstang, Kirkham in partnership with @VolunteerBWF@cvsbwf

Today marks the start of 7 days of Volunteer Appreciation for our amazing & brilliant #volunteers during #volunteersweek2020 😍 YOU OWN THIS WEEK and we THANK YOU from everyone here at the Volunteer Centre BFW for your dedication and commitment to the running of our organisation.
Since the beginning of April we’ve spoken to 120 #VCSE leaders from across the UK about the kinds of challenges they are facing and the help needed during #Covid19UK crisis.
In case you missed them, here are the briefings for #funders on what they said:

Always a great idea to coordinate with existing local systems. This includes when volunteers are required, so that there isn't duplication or volunteers don't sign up for something that never appears 😉
Last week some NAVCA members discussed issues around local infrastructure with @dianabarran, Minister for Civil Society. We're delighted that she has taken an interest in NAVCA members and a 2nd meeting with members is happening today. #InfrastructureMatters#NeverMoreNeeded
"It’s time to rebalance the relationship between public service delivery bodies and their funders" An interesting blog here from Chris Wright of Catch22, for Civil Society Media. https://t.co/1H7mshtvvs
