Today's weekly update is special. As we close out November, let’s chat about where we’ve come for @EthXY and where we’re headed as we look forward to 2024.

🧙 Where we’ve been
We had our public launch on November 7th. Thank you so much for your warm degen reception. It was heartwarming to see your enthusiasm. We ended that first week with 15k games. At that point in time, Lucky Red Armor was the only piece of loot in the game.
On November 8th, we released patch v1.1 that added the loot spinner with 3 weapons, 2 pieces of armor. On November 10th, we released v.1.15 that added the daily spinner and gear customization.
On November 13th, we launched the Great Degen Race (https://t.co/FLtMGACnM3) for Season 1 SEXY token rewards.
On November 14th, we announced our $1.6M preseed round with participation from

On November 27th, we had our first marketing campaigns start that brought a large amount of traffic that highlighted the rate limit cap with Telegram.
On November 29th, we released the Skull Mask as the 3rd Weekly Loot piece, bringing the total number of loot in game to 19.
On November 30th (today), we’re closing in on 50,000 games played, a very healthy base of dedicated fans, an enthusiastic team working hard as ever to bring you exciting features we have in store.
It’s been a marathon-sprint, but as a team, we believe that consistent visible momentum is the best signal.
🧑🌾 Where we are
What’s became clear as we launched various marketing efforts was that we were being constrained by the Telegram platform. The team has an audacious goal of reaching 1M users and it has become clear that we wouldn’t be able to get there with the current framework. (Not financial advice, nor a promise nor guarantee)
The team has made the decision to create a full-fledged PWA (Progressive Web App) client similar to FriendTech. The app will run on your phone or website without the constraints of dependency on a 3rd party.
A PWA offers some incredible benefits, not just in the immediate scalability, but a large amount of real estate for expanded features. Once the team assembled the “Grand Vision”, we realized transition to PWA was a necessity.
The team’s core competency is around Web / React development being in industry for 12+ years. We expect the PWA development to progress swiftly and smoothly.

In fact, it’s probably a great time to stock up on gear and level up your characters before our next set of features arrive with the PWA. We will have a smooth transition period where you’ll be able to play games either from the PWA or Telegram bot.
The team is working on Season 0 rewards and how we can offer it in such a way that provides alignment between old and new players of EthXY.
🚀 Where we’re headed
The team stands by our rough estimate where the current gameplay represents 10% of the overall vision for @EthXY.
In parallel to the PWA development that has already started, we have been making great strides with Raid gameplay. Players will be able to spend SEXY to embark on a series of challenging battles against monsters. We have included a teaser shot of one of the bosses you’ll be fighting against.
In Raids, your character level and gear will play an important part. There will be a progression of 5 bosses that becomes increasingly difficult. You’ll need a high level character and top gear to hope to have a chance at tackling the last boss. Raid gameplay will be the pathway to “endgame” loot.
Commensurate with the difficulty of raids will be the loot which look absolutely epic and will make your characters incredibly powerful. We’ll have more teasers along the way.
Thinking about the new real estate PWA offers us, we have started drafting ideas concerning what we call “Open World” gameplay. It’s still early stages but we’ve begun sketching out what it would mean to have PvP combat where gear matters. The prospect of allowing players to become heroes or villains is quite exciting to us.
Related in part, we have started to think about is creation of a player home within this EthXY world and new gameplay that would arise from the course of acquiring land, collecting resources, building and defending.
Finally we have guilds that would interlock with each of the prior components to bring a rich social environment where you can publicly identify yourself as part of a club and work towards a common goal with incredible rewards.
These are the themes we’re tackling as we head into 2024.

At EthXY, we seek to explore the cutting edge of crypto consumer products. Our thesis lies in minimizing friction of interface while maximizing the gratification per effort.
Our latest product takes place strictly within the confines of a Telegram chat window. We wanted to stretch the boundaries of what was construed to be possible through a chat interface.
We built a MMORPG on top of Telegram chat with poker combat mechanics.

We believe a friction-free, compelling consumer experience is what will lead to crypto's greater adoption during this next cycle.
We have implemented various innovations that make using @BuildOnBase as seamless as chatting on Telegram. For the user, they're simply interacting with the chat, while underneath the service, they're conducting all their games on-chain.
It was thanks to Base's rich developer support and low transaction costs that enabled us to build this innovative experience on top.
