I can't tell if my current inability to make any further progress on my dissertation proposal is the result of me having just recovered from COVID or if it's because I feel burnt out. Whatever the case, my personal timeline is STRESSING ME OUT. Ahh!

tbh, it's not really the disappearing job market or labor exploitation of faculty of color that make me hesitate to go the faculty route. it's witnessing the harmful/toxic/dismissive treatment of grad students by faculty that make me hesitate to go the faculty route.
