We definitely miss our kids!! But it has been amazing to see all of the creative, thoughtful, and engaging lessons all of our teachers are making online!
Our LS teachers @DurhamAcademy are working hard to post meaningful lessons that lift spirits. Content with caring is the magical combination. We miss our kids!
By engaging in remote learning, rather than coming to school, students are standing up and making a difference for the good of our world, as @DA_Debbie_Suggs told her students in a video message: https://t.co/9X7szJj3zf. We can't wait to connect with everyone tomorrow!
These 4th graders in our after-school Jam Band class are combining singing, ukulele, recorder and even creating their own improvisation that went with the chord changes. #impressive#inspiring#musicians
We love when Braima comes to spend time with our first graders @DurhamAcademy. Braima says, “If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing!”
1st graders love the song, movements, and greetings from around the world in Global Greetings from Aimee Curtis Pfitzner book Hands to Hands with @BeatinPathPub
The joy on the kids faces combined with real musical skills they are learning makes Hold It High an amazing game!!! Thanks so much for the great idea @cccaosa at the chapter share!
“All I really need is a song in my heart, food in my belly, and love in my family.” These are words to live by and were beautifully performed by our 1st and 2nd graders this morning @DurhamAcademy! Special thanks to @LSmusicDA for this heartfelt performance.
These 2nd graders are ready for the performance, a song in my heart, this week!! Grateful for @DALSLibrary @spanishdals and @letiziahaynie for all of their help with the beautiful hearts on the curtains! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Wow! 4th graders had about 15 minutes to recreate a folk song we have learned using recorder and ukulele. This pair took A Clair De Lune (in the evening moonlight) altered the rhythm and put it in a minor key. So cool! #musiced#Creative
