There’s too many scenes from Disclosure Day for me to pick just one to demonstrate just how bad it is but scouting a location to film with giant see through fences for your protagonist to stealthily hide behind said see through fence seemed like a good one
“Nolan is by now as close to a Zeus figure as exists in Hollywood cinema,” Justin Chang writes, “and ‘The Odyssey’ is his latest lightning bolt.” https://t.co/GmM0r3nvKX
Ugh. I posted about The Odyssey, now it’s my timeline.
My 2¢: Totally flat. No engagement with the characters, the cinematography, the action, nothing. Nolan is good, but this ain’t it.
Luckily I had a dog emergency and got to leave about an hour early.
All these reviews of The Odyssey saying it’s modernized and takes away from the story. I disagree! It’s 💯 true to the epic. In that it’s boring as hell.
In Scrubs we never learn the janitor’s name. But it’s discussed that he was in the The Fugitive and that credit is to Neil Flynn. Therefore Neil Flynn is playing Neil Flynn.
@AmericanAir I would rather not go through this with your reps again. End of the story is, after asking for a full refund, the rep was magically able to make the change.
1/ Ohhh boy. So I have a summer flight STR-FRA-CLT. @AmericanAir has me call them to tell me the STR-FRA is canceled and they have to put me on STR-MUC-LHR-CLT. I say no way, just keep FRA-CLT. I get back a spiel on how they can’t do that.
3/ But suddenly there’s a problem with refunding the full amount and TADA, they’re able to change my flight to just FRA-CLT. Crazy was losing thousands of dollars can do!🙄 30 minutes to have done what I asked for in the first place.
2/ AND if I want to change the route then they’ll charge ME. Really. Ok, no problem, I want you to cancel my ticket and refund my full biz class fare. This is after I wanted to speak with a supervisor and was told they said the same thing so no need to speak with them.
