What happens when you get pulled over? What are your rights? These questions and more are answered during this driver Ed lesson. Huge thanks to South Campus SRO Officer McClintock for the live demonstration with Mr. Danner and his class. #WeAreLT
Big thanks to North Campus SRO Kevin Comstock for coming in to speak with our self defense class about self defense and the law. Important info to hear. #WeAreLT

Congratulations to McClure Junior High for winning the 1st annual team competition at LT’s 8th grade fitness day. Like the Stanley Cup, they will get to keep the traveling trophy this year and will bring it back to compete for it during next year’s event. #WeAreLT
Huge shout out to our Physical Welfare colleague and Yoga club sponsor, Cassie Niego for running an amazing Mother’s Day Yoga event for the community on Bennett Field on Sunday. Your work establishing our Yoga programs has been incredible! #WeAreLT

Sharing our success with other schools. Kathy Beyer, Joe Conway, and Katie Meyers present at the DuPage County Institute. They share our curriculum for basic and advanced self defense at LT so others can learn and bring the program to their school. #wearelt
Freedom Golf is at LT working with our adaptive PE and PE leaders class today. So great to see our students learning about golf in an accessible way! #wearelt
Did you know? Heart screenings are non-invasive tests that can help detect underlying conditions that may not show symptoms but could lead to life-threatening situations if left undiagnosed.
Last time LTHS did a screening, 1,792 students were screened with 10 students showing abnormal EKGs.
Don’t wait for symptoms to show up—sign your student (South Campus 3/11 and North Campus 3/25) to help protect their future: https://t.co/lBwY5T3NGz

We are proud to bring the Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening Program to LTHS. But, this event would not be possible without volunteers to aid with the cardiac screening.
- New volunteers must attend a training session on Monday evening.
- Previous volunteers should attend a refresher course on Monday evening if it has been over 2 years since they’ve helped.
- Volunteers can be parents, adult family members, or community members.
- Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and NOT in high school.
- Volunteers with medical background still need to attend training.
- There are a variety of tasks volunteers will help with but the majority assist with screening the students.
Please learn more and sign up today.
