Our Gender Identity Youth Worker has started a new monthly pop-up Youth space at Seacroft hospital. This is open to all young people under the service who would like a chat, relax and a little bit of support or just to see a friendly face! @LeedsHospitals@Leeds_Childrens
Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual observance that honours the memory of transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. We are committed to ensuring Leeds Teaching Hospitals is a safe environment for people to be who they are, patients and staff.
Thank you to everyone who came to the moving candlelight vigil at Leeds General Infirmary this evening, where we held a two-minute silence and lit candles in memory of people no longer with us. We heard from speakers from various organisations, including Trans Leeds, who are committed to supporting our trans and non-binary communities.
We also lit up Jubilee Wing to mark the day, as pictured here.

This #HateCrimeAwarenessWeek, we're calling for everyone to feel safe - at work, in their communities, or just in public.
๐จ Less than half of LGBTQ+ people feel safe holding their partners hand in public.

Itโs National Coming Out Day!๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Today, we celebrate everyoneโs individual journeys, stories and identities. We are all individuals, and the experiences we have shape who we are today.
Wherever you are in your own story, know that YOU ARE LOVED! ๐
The amazing @lthtlib team excel themselves again! Great to see their support for Black History Month and the work of our sister network @LTHT_BME@LeedsHospitals ๐

Happy #BiVisibility week!
Our network supports lots of staff who are #Bi. They often face assumptions that they are gay or straight, based on the gender of a partner. It can be difficult to challenge this!

Looking after a family member or friend can be hard.
We know that carers need a break.
If you are an unpaid carer from the LBGTQ+ community, Carers Leeds can help you with you grants and support.
Call our Advice Line to find out more.
The past few days have left many of us feeling frightened, particularly those who are #Trans, #NonBinary and from #MinorityEthnic groups.
We see you, we care about you, and we are here for you.

The play hopes to raise awareness around the potential issues for those caring for someone with dementia in general, and the barriers to support which members of the gay community may perceive and experience ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
We have two more performances of this wonderful play, it is a 35 minute performance with time for Q and A afterwards.
Both the sessions are in Bexley Wing on 31st July 10.30am or 2pm, please contact us for free tickets!
