Production on my honours project is well underway as I attempt to create a VR game that gently introduces core programming concepts such as data types, loops and conditionals to those wanting to dip their toes into the vast world of programming.

but the player needs to know how to go about using them. This will take the form of a guided tutorial delivered by an NPC. It will start off rather direct in nature before branching into a more open-ended hints based system

Overall, I'm extremely happy with how much I managed to complete for this competition and feel like I've learned a lot in terms of adapting existing projects. The experience I have picked up during this competition is invaluable and will go a long way in my career.

As part of the competition, I had to adapt an existing C++ codebase into a fully playable game. The starting project was a basic spot the ball game with limited functionality that I then turned into a fully fledged action game.
