The hardest part of any job search is finding a place where you can actually be the best version of yourself
You can do well in other environments but a person will never thrive in a place where they don’t have intellectual alignment with leadership and the autonomy to bring their ideas to life.
This is literally the opposite of my wife. She knows nothing about finance. Before we met, someone told her I work in banking… She of course thought that meant I was a bank teller. That’s how I know she wasn’t after my money 🤣
Everyone wants to own SpaceX. Almost nobody wants $ADBE.
Here’s the part that breaks people’s brains:
SpaceX, on its own IPO prospectus: $18.7B in 2025 revenue — and a $4.9B net LOSS. An accumulated deficit of $41.3B. Investors are clamoring to buy it at an ~$800B valuation.
Adobe did $23.8B in revenue — more than SpaceX — and turned it into $7.1B of actual profit and $10B of operating cash flow. You can buy the whole company for ~$90B.
Same year. One bleeds $4.9B and is worshipped. One prints $7.1B and is left for dead.
Hype has a valuation. So does profit. They just point in opposite directions right now.
One of the things I’ve learned over time is most of my mistakes of omission happen because I had an initial bias not to take a meeting or do the work which ultimately cost me dearly, while most of the mistakes of commission happened despite doing the work and taking the meeting, or perhaps a bias to act simply because I had taken the meeting and done the work. Both dumb.
Is it Extel voting season? Can someone tell me, I haven’t seen any emails about it yet….
A hill I am willing to die on: “Extel” is 100x worse than II.
Bring back II.
