In Chicago, we believe in academic freedom, teaching Black history, supporting trans and immigrant youth, teaching civics, and doing our part to stand up to the billionaires who have taken over federal government to bring back the confederacy.
The same people erasing the Tuskegee airmen from museums are investigating CPS and our CEO for staying committed to teaching about them.
It’s not a coincidence that the administration disenfranchising Black voters in the South is investigating how we teach their children in the North.
It’s yet one more example of why we need our state leaders to take seriously the need to Trump proof Illinois.
The Mayor’s original proposal includes $113 million in responsible debt collection measures.
The issue is not with debt collection but with the sale of debt to private collectors who would employ predatory, coercive tactics while acting without public oversight.
Interesting, the same folks who believed and fought against Bring Chicago Home are also the same folks who want you to believe that we should continue providing government assistance to the ultra-rich. Working families pay their fair share. It's time to #TaxtheRich
Our “extreme agenda”
✅ a quality public school that every parent can walk their child to
✅ freedom to learn our histories in schools, safe from federal intimidation
✅ smaller class sizes, recess, sports, honors, and music for every student
✅ and pay for it like Massachusetts and other states have, by taxing the ultra-rich who can afford it, not raising fees on families who are already struggling.
(PS a super majority across every part and every demographic of the city agrees with us. Most people cant afford to put their opinions on TV like the billionaire class, trying to avoid getting taxed like the rest of us.)
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson standing with “the full force of government” including Police Supt. Larry Snelling to reaffirm the city’s sanctuary status for undocumented immigrants as ICE targets Chicago.

@AldConway Alderman, can you give some revenue ideas that don't hurt taxpayers in Chicago? The state couldn't agree on a Fair Tax in 2020. The city was fooled into believing BCH wouldn't be helpful for our unhoused and most Chicagoans. What revenue solutions are you proposing?
I’m here to tell you that even though some have forgotten … I remember.
I remember what it was like when Trump was president.
I remember what he did and said, about Puerto Rico…
About our people ...
I remember after Hurricane Maria devastated our island…
Trump blocked billions in relief … while thousands died.
I remember that when our families lacked clean water and electricity,
Trump threw paper towels and called Puerto Rico “dirty” and “poor.”
But I was not surprised..
Because I ALSO remember… he launched his campaign by calling Latinos criminals and rapists.
He’s told us what he’ll do.
He'll separate children from their families and threatened to use the ARMY to do it
This election goes way beyond political parties.
Now let’s remember what the United States represents and stands for. It’s our name - United.
Regardless of where we’re from.
I’m Marc Anthony…
I remember…
And that’s why I support Kamala Harris for President
