I don't know, maybe modern beefy APs are just enjoying multipath thesedays, but, still I am worried if due to the ceiling reflections those APs would cause CCI at longer distances than we expect.
Today in Amsterdam I found out that there is such a thing as "climatic ceiling panels". Very energy efficient.
Unfortunately, made of metal, so the whole ceiling in your office is a large reflecting surface.
Anybody designed HD Wi-Fi in such offices? How did it work out?

Aruba is transmitting the full set of 5GHz channels in its beacons, while my MacBook limits itself to 36-64 only.
There is a neighbor network with 36-64 in its beacons, maybe MacBook follows its restrictions.
Need to understand available channels from the legal point of view.

We are considering creating some kind of rf-attenuating "nests" for each AP to fight with interference from neighbor APs. But didn't try it yet.
Anybody got any experience with installing APs underfloor in crowded open spaces? We've done some tests but the noise level from adjacent APs was too high. It worked, however. The next step is to try again with directional antennas.
I made a python-based tool to collect Wi-Fi diagnostics from macOS and Linux.

Results could be reproduced with the following manual profile:
Offset @ 2.4GHz -14dB
Offset @ 5GHz -7dB

Is this by design that RSSI is the same for 5GHz and 2.4GHz while having identical EIRP and antenna pattern in both bands (Generic AP used)?
This is witnessed only in View As Mobile Device Offset.
