PHP incident update: Our team continues to patch, test, and validate affected client environments following the vulnerability made public late Tue, Oct 20. We’ve fully restored several environments and will keep working, safely and securely, until everyone is back online.

We’re addressing the PHP flaws announced Tue, Oct 20. Out of caution, we took affected production systems offline by 2am Wed to protect client apps and data, a decision reinforced by NSA, FBI, and CISA guidance. We’re now patching and verifying each before restoring service.

As of 4pm, we’re still validating sites/apps on the patched PHP releases. Additional patches continue rolling out; some we need aren’t yet available. Further validation is needed before we safely restore production. We’ll keep monitoring, testing, and sharing news as we go.

As of 2pm, we’re still validating sites/apps on the patched PHP releases and expect some production sites back online in a few hours. Some apps run on server configs still awaiting patches; we’ll handle those once released. We’ll update clients on their status as soon as we can.

As of 11:30am, patched versions of PHP are now rolling out through vendor repositories. We’ve begun testing our applications against these releases and working through our validation process. We will update clients on their app’s status as we work to bring them back online.

Update: As of 9:30am, the PHP team has released the pre-announced critical security patches for supported PHP versions. Our team is reviewing the release notes and beginning to update and validate our systems. We’ll bring client systems back online ASAP and keep you updated.
