@EmbracePaceUVA The 2019 Duke game at home with LeBron in attendance and in prime-time? We had already played them at Cameron Indoor and only lost by 2. I think we were both ranked in the top 10 and it was being advertised all week as much see TV.
@DaveScarangella Chesney would be a better hire for you all anyway. If you hired Franklin and he was successful, he’d bolt in a heartbeat to a bigger job.
@CavalierBlue I think it could be a good thing because it would force UVA leadership to continue emphasizing the need for football funding with the donor base. I’m not as scared to go up against them with the work that’s been done to date in terms of facilities and NIL funds
@EmbracePaceUVA Defensive line is the biggest concern in my opinion. Everyone thought it would be a strength and so far they aren’t getting much pressure when they only rush 4
@ByDavidTeel The sad reality is that this just brings VT equal to peers but for how long? It seems like VT and UVA for that matter are always going to be reactive and not proactive.
@on3@InsideCarolina It's smart for the SEC to add UNC and UVA for several reasons. 1. geographically 2. easy football wins (no reason to make the schedule harder) 3. both have strong athletic departments overall 4. academics and research money.
@amfva@Zach_Carey_ You may be right, but I can also see a coach in the B10 or SEC looking at the competitive landscape in those leagues compared to the ACC right now and deciding to try and jump to the top of the ACC. It’s what TB did and he was already a coach of the year.
@WahooGlobal You must have been around Ashburn and all the data centers. Just another 20mins west and you are in Leesburg where Loudoun starts to get nice with views of the blue ridge and some really good breweries and wineries.
Army vs Navy kicks off later.
Watch the legendary CBS game promo video from a couple years ago — it’s the best sports introduction I’ve ever seen:
“It’s the only game that everyone’s playing in it that are willing to die for everyone who’s watching.”
