🎙️ This evening, I was hosted at @UBCRadio to address Men's Mental Health!
We dove deep into:
✅ The unique challenges men face that affect their mental health
✅ How men can support themselves & how WE can support men struggling
June is #Men'sMentalHealthAwarenessMonth
@serenemindcare1 For someone who is working mainly for survival, especially in a job that is below their qualifications, workplace bullying can be painful. A person may already feel disappointed that they are not working in their chosen profession, and this can make those feelings much stronger.
@serenemindcare1 Great conversation. Most of the employees are battling with this vice. The biggest challenge is that the majority don't know how to deal with these.

*NAVIGATING WORKPLACE BULLYING*⚡
When we hear bullying, we often think of schools and adolescents. But bullying also happens at work and it can quietly damage people’s mental health, dignity, and productivity.

@mkainerugaba As Afande handles the roads, I will continue handling those who walk, ride, or drive throwing waste on the roads of our nation. If they can't keep the waste in their bags, they have no place in the Pearl of Africa.
Smoking in public should also end this year. We are not pleading
#InternationalDayoftheAfricanChild
Dear African Child,
We think about you every single day. We carry your dreams in our hearts and your hopes in our minds.
You are the seed of a new Africa.
We see you. We hear you. We believe in you.
Your story matters.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
In overwhelming times, it’s okay to do less and get rest. You do not have to keep pushing at full capacity every day.
Rest is not laziness; it is part of recovery, healing, and sustainability. Be gentle with yourself.

Even when a mental health condition is identified, men are significantly less likely to receive treatment than women. Referral rates for talk therapy consistently show lower engagement among men, often due to systemic barriers and a disconnect in how support is offered.
We need to bridge this gap by creating spaces where men feel heard, understood, and encouraged to prioritize their recovery. Seeking help isn't just a clinical step. it’s a vital act of reclaiming your life. #MensMentalHealth #TalkTherapy #BreakTheStigma #MentalHealthMatters #SereneMinds
You don’t have to be broken to need support; you just have to be human.
Mental health care isn’t just for moments of crisis. it’s a daily practice of looking after ourselves and each other.

Because symptoms often don't match traditional clinical profiles, many men go undiagnosed. We need to look beyond the surface and recognize that mental health struggles don't always look the same in everyone.
Understanding the nuance is the first step toward getting our brothers the support they need. #SereneMinds #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma
