It is good to welcome my friend @ZelenskyyUa to Ankara
Ukraine's security is our security and we have important work to do to make sure you continue to have what you need to defend your freedom
NATO’s role in ensuring maritime security and dealing with shadow fleet was a topic of discussion, organised by 🇱🇻 @LIIA_LV, @MunSecConf@LATO_LV@EasternCircles .
My points: military presence, stronger sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet and punishing those that evade them.
Russian officials continue lying. While it’s not a surprise, here is a reminder of facts that Nordic Baltic ministers have stated.
The Baltic states do NOT allow airspace to be used by Ukraine for drone attacks. Russia's illegal war on Ukraine is a sole reason for all accidents.
🇱🇻 Latvia stands in solidarity with our Gulf partners and strongly condemns the unprovoked attacks against Bahrain 🇧🇭 and Kuwait 🇰🇼.
‼️ The ceasefire must be fully respected, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding and 🇺🇳 Security Council Resolution #2817.
‼️ Iran must end its destabilizing activities in the region, halt its escalatory nuclear programme, and cease attempts to threaten freedom of navigation in international waterways.
🇱🇻 Latvia supports the ongoing US–Iran negotiations aimed at achieving a sustainable diplomatic solution and remains a constructive partner.
