June 8, 2014
Officer Igor Soldo served the LVMPD with pride from 2006–2014. A Bosnia native, he became a Firearms Instructor and dedicated mentor. Killed in the line of duty alongside Officer Alyn R. Beck, his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we remember Ofc. Alyn R. Beck, who was a dedicated officer and trainer of the LVMPD. He lost his life after he and his partner were ambushed after responding to a call. He was 41. We honor his service and legacy.
EOW: Police Officer Ernest James May
June 8, 1933
On June 8, 1933, May became the first LVMPD officer to give his life in the line of duty. He was tragically shot while responding to a call. Today, we remember and honor his bravery and sacrifice for others.
During #NationalPoliceWeek in Washington, D.C., an Honor Guard and bagpipe competition was held.
The Las Vegas Emerald Society Pipe Band represented LVMPD and Southern Nevada. After training, they placed 4th overall, 3rd in piping, and 2nd in dress.

Honoring a Fallen Hero
During National Police Week, we stood alongside the @NLVPD Honor Guard in support of fallen Officer Jason Roscow and his family.
We welcomed Officer Roscow's family at the airport and later stood in honor and remembrance at his wreath memorial 💙
EOW: Deputy Sheriff Jack David London
May 17, 1943
Deputy London was killed in the line of duty along Boulder Highway while assisting a soldier with his partner. A speeding vehicle struck both deputies, with Deputy London passing at the scene. He was 46 years old.
EOW: Police Officer James “Jamie” Le’Treall Manor
May 7, 2009
Officer Manor joined the LVMPD in 2007. Known for his big heart and strong character, he was killed in a vehicle collision while responding to a violent domestic disturbance. He was 28 years old.
Never forgotten.
EOW: Sergeant Robert F. Dula, Jr.
04/09/1955
Sgt. Dula was tragically killed while responding to help an injured citizen on the road just minutes before the end of his shift. He was 26. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 💙
EOW: Officer Russell L. Peterson Jr.
March 24, 1998
Ofc. Peterson joined the LVMPD in 1990, and served with Search and Rescue. He tragically lost his life during an ice-climbing training exercise on Mt. Charleston. He was 40.
We honor his service and sacrifice.
EOW: CO James W. Harbin II
Mar. 18, 1979
Harbin joined the LVMPD in Feb. 1979, and was tragically killed a month later during a robbery at a convenience store he stopped at on his way to work. Mistaken for a police officer, he was shot by the suspect. He was only 22 💙

Today, we honor Officer Rogan, who served the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 8 years. He was tragically killed during a traffic stop on Paradise Rd by the other driver. He was 41. We will never forget his service and sacrifice.

February 1, 2006
Today, we honor Sgt. Prendes, who served the LVMPD since 1991. A man of deep faith, he carried a Bible in his patrol car. He was killed while responding to a violent call. He was 37.

12/26/1950
Deputy Hansen served with the Clark County Sheriff’s Dept. He was fatally struck by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop near the Green Shack on Boulder Hwy. He was 56. We honor his service and sacrifice.

EOW: Corrections Officer Daniel J. Leach

Officer Leach joined LVMPD in 1984, and served as a dedicated CO in Laughlin. He was killed in a crash on U.S. 95 while transporting a van from CCDC. He was 49. We will never forget his service.

After 9 years in the Marine Corps, Nettleton joined LVMPD in 2006. He was fatally shot while off duty at home, bravely confronting armed suspects. He was 30. We will always remember his courage and sacrifice.
