@JTTheBrick JT, I saw this and my first reaction was "Is the bridge burnt?" Please tell me my friend, is this generation's Howie Long staying home or are we seeing a lesser deal in the coming days/weeks?
@rounds_onme@GraphkRaider Nah, I read the Raiders are eating most of his salary. But a small upgrade in picks for a player you were gonna cut is still cool.
Two-twos, this year's and next year's second round. Or our 2026 second round and the 2027 Ravens first round might get it done. We have been weak in the middle for too long. But doesn't he come with some off the field? Not sure we need that if we are building a fresh young team. Ruggs is still fresh in the minds of many, especially Mark's. That in itself might take us out of the mix of potential landing spots.
We have gone through four coaching staffs in four years and three GM. Newest just got in the building. You want to give up our most productive, and face of the franchise, for two first round picks. Who is to say the scouting department is worth a shit at this time and has all of their ducks in a row. No guarantees we will hit on 1 of three first rounders far less two or three. Keep Mad Max, trade down if you want but gaining through subtraction isn't the formula right now.
@corndogisdaname @GraphkRaider I think it is fair to believe that continuity with existing players (Max) plays into the process. To assert he was only hired to make a certain player happy is most likely a stretch.
#Raiders DE Maxx Crosby, wearing team gear and inside the team facility, said a bunch of random people have been speaking for him this week β and heβs just sitting back laughing at it.
βAll the noise. Itβs news to me.β

For the love of all that is good, STFU about Maxx trades. We know it's possible, we also know it's not problematic. There has been no talk from within the building suggesting such a thing and the dude came out in full gear with his daughter talking about winning in the Silver and Black. RNFL - LFG!
@tmoss19@CondorSZN I'd be happy to see that happen. Not sure DC is qualified as far as coaching experience but he is definitely knowledgeable and still has love for the Silver and Black.
Again popular opinion, I wish they would have drafted McCarthy. I believe he will be a franchise QB when all is said and done. I'm not saying he's going to be better than Mendoza, don't get it twisted. But people didn't like Bradshaw, Elway, Manning, or even S. Darnold and Goff recently after their rookie seasons.
@RaiderPosts But in seriousness, I'd be good with DC as a QB coach. Why not, dude's still a Raider at heart even after the drama and all. I believe he would give π― and if he sucks, move on. It's a staff position that can be replaced pretty quick.
