Stop chasing attention or seeking validation, its a zero-sum game & deeply unattractive
Stay low key, focus on the numbers - they never lie
Don’t overshare, most envy more than they empathise
Peace & power is found living a life that doesn’t need to be understood
Learn life.
Stop looking for ‘shortcuts’ or ‘hacks’; they don’t exist
Your desire to find the so-called ‘secrets’ is the reason your desires will keep eluding you
There’s one way. The hard way. Focus on the fundamentals & do boring better
They don’t put championship rings on smooth hands.
Discipline is the strongest form of self-love
It’s ignoring todays want, for tomorrows needs
The future you is dependant on the current you, it reveals the dedication you have towards your dreams & self-made promises
It distinguishes those who just talk & those who take action
My favorite Charlie Munger story:
In 1953, Munger was 29 years old.
Recently divorced. Lost the house. Huge social stigma of divorce back then.
His 8-year-old son, Teddy, was diagnosed with cancer.
The leukemia was incurable.
No medical insurance - Munger paid for all his medical care.
Charlie would visit Teddy in the hospital every day -- and then walk the streets crying.
Teddy died at the age of 9.
Charlie was broke, divorced and just lost his child.
99.9% of people would've turned to alcohol, drugs, or suicide. (And you'd understand why)
Munger never did.
Fast forward to 52 years old, a failed surgery left him blind in one eye with the potential of going fully blind one day.
Charlie was an obsessive learner who read every book he could get his hands on.
When confronted with the possibility of going blind and no longer being able to read he said:
"It's time for me to learn braille!"
The only thing that might be more impressive than his intellect was his actions.
RIP.

Munger on Self-Pity:
"Generally speaking, envy, resentment, revenge, and self-pity are disastrous modes of thought.
Self-pity gets pretty close to paranoia…
Every time you find your drifting into self-pity, I don’t care what the cause, your child could be dying from cancer, self-pity is not going to improve the situation. It’s a ridiculous way to behave.
Life will have terrible blows, horrible blows, unfair blows, it doesn’t matter. Some people recover and others don’t.
There I think the attitude of Epictetus is the best. He thought that every mischance in life was an opportunity to behave well. Every mischance in life was an opportunity to learn something and that your duty was not to be immersed in self-pity, but to utilize the terrible blow in a constructive fashion. That is a very good idea."

November 12th, 2016: Conor McGregor put on one of the greatest performances in MMA history when he dismantled Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to become the UFC’s first simultaneous double champ.
After the fight, McGregor was livid that the UFC didn’t have a 2nd belt for him, that led to one of the greatest post fight interviews of all time.

Liam Davies was a little known 7-0 super bantamweight prospect down on his luck and working on the bins during lockdown to make ends meet. Wheeling around the trash in the day and training at night whilst dreaming about becoming a champion.
Unexpectedly, he received an offer on 18 days notice to box for the English Bantamweight Title. Davies was not sure whether he was in shape or should take it. The opponent, Sean Cairns was the first man he would face who had a winning record and the fight would be at a weight Davies had never made as a pro.
His Dad convinced him to take the fight.
Liam Davies beat Sean Cairns and became the English Bantamweight Champion.
Since then, he has gone on to become the British, European, WBC and WBO International Champion at Super Bantamweight all within 14 fights. He has headlined his hometown arena 3 times and boxes live on TV.
Living proof that opportunity may not always knock at the right time, but if you open the door to it you can change your life 💙
You could be living the best years of your life right now yet complain about trivial issues
Many falsely believe their career, love life & happiness will always improve as life goes on
Only in hindsight do people gain perspective & then pray for times they once took for granted
