If you put a 500m clause on a player then you aren’t breaking LaLiga’s rules, and your player isn’t at risk of getting bought out.

However, Barca is free to accept an 80m bid for a player with a 500m clause.

Atletico can accept any transfer offer below the release clause. A release clause doesn’t trap a player at a club.
