Engaging employees in policy that matters to them is critical. Last night, these front-line paramedics @DHParamedics testified for over an hour educating the CO House Judiciary Committee on how a bill would impact their clinical practice. @DenverHealthMed@DenverEMed
New Law: SB25-116, sponsored by Rep. Armagost, strengthens protections for survivors of domestic violence during divorce by expanding disclosure of abuse and limiting spousal maintenance for abusers. A step toward fairness and safety in family court. #coleg#copolitics

👏🏻Happy #EMSWeek to the Denver Health Paramedic Division, recognized today for over 131,000 calls annually and more than 81,000 patients treated. Several extraordinary EMS professionals were recognized with awards for their exceptional service. @DenverHealthMed@DHParamedics
🙋🏻♀️ER Tech x 28 years here. Hey, #thepitt@HBO@hbomax ER techs are a big part of the ER team. We are typically EMT’s and Paramedics, not medical assistants.
📣Maybe in Season #2?
*We do the CPR, not the MD’s or RN’s. 😉
*We also have mad IV and splint skills.
📸cred, mine.
This is not about the mentally ill with guns. This is a former patient or family member acting with malicious intent to harm healthcare workers. If you work in healthcare, you are horrified by this incident but not surprised.
We just live in fear that our hospital will be next.
He had been to the ICU earlier in the He shot several people, including a nurse, a custodian, an MD, officers, where one tragically died. We need to better harden our hospitals due to the mental ill with guns. Why is this not more widely reported? https://t.co/gNrb4yM2yW
In this crazy world, I am always impressed and inspired by the hope and advocacy of our youth. Thousands of people showed up at the CO state Capitol yesterday to protest, many of them young teenagers facing unthinkable hardship for themselves and their families. #50501protest
Flew from Denver to New York yesterday on American Airlines. Flight attendants tearful on the early morning flight, seated in their jump seats, talking with passengers. Such a sad, tragic day in history. 🇺🇸
The most Colorado thing I’ve seen today.
I 25 traffic from Fort Collins heading to Denver.
This dude driving the Barbie car has a mannequin in the passenger seat. He’s blaring music on his sound system (Indigo Girls?) and encouraging semi trucks to honk.

“It’s time we recognized that the true art of emergency medicine lies not in the rigid application of protocols but in the nuanced, sometimes messy, and always human process of decision-making.”

BEST MOMENT OF NIGHT AT DNC:
Michelle Obama to Trump: “Who is going to tell him that the job that he is currently seeking might just me one of those ‘black jobs’?”
@nowthisimpact CO passed this bill last year as the first state to ban medical debt from your credit report. We faced tough opposition from the banks, debt collectors, and credit reporting agencies. You are correct, medical debt is not an indicator of credit worthiness.

An incredible network of caring, compassionate and resilient providers.
Thank you, everyday.
On scene with @Denver_Fire while they work a 2-alarm fire made more complicated by high winds. While the fire fighters work to keep the fire from spreading, we are on scene working together to ensure the families and pets get any care they may need.

Thank you to @KUNC@lucasbradywoods for this important story on EMS Sustainability and for highlighting the challenges rural agencies throughout our state are facing.
Police and Fire are essential services in CO, but not ambulances. #Funding#Workforce
