Has anyone thought about whether or not someone *benefits* from the destruction of Twitter? Formerly known as a platform for free speech and for people to connect and build supportive community? Now dispersed to new platforms that aren't as useable as Twitter was? 1/
“There’s nobody more military than me” says a 68-year-old man who could’ve volunteered but never served a single day in uniform while his country fought two of its longest wars in history.
Idc if you think you've trained your cats to stay off the countertops. What you've actually done is trained them to stay off there while you're around. But that's only if they decide to grant you the courtesy of maintaining the *illusion* that they're not getting up there at all.
I don’t hear a lot of people talking about this aspect of today’s jobs report:
Remember there was an executive order signed that mandated materials used in the infrastructure bill be made in America. Keep in mind, that’s 1.2 Trillion worth of projects. Literally with the stroke of a pen, the President created a whole new demand for American made materials.
New jobs were created adding to meet this demand — a colossal reason why you’re seeing headlines right now reading “American manufacturing is back.”
@JohnnyBCool Oh man. That's rugged. I'm sorry that's being done to you. Apparently my three rules for tv apply here, too;
If there's food, eat.
If there's a handy bathroom, use it even if you think you don't need it.
If you have two minutes, take a nap.
Hang in there.
