This is a long tweet, but if you’re a $MON holder, take a few minutes to read it or just ask @grok to summarize it for you.
Why could $MON go up 500% in the next few months? And why did I move most of my portfolio into $MON?
As one of the VERY FEW people who got into the Sui ecosystem back in 2023, I’m starting to see some striking similarities between Sui and Monad in their early stages in price action, ecosystem dynamics, and capital flows.
Sui took roughly 5 months to go from its ATL in October 2023 to its first major peak in March 2024, after being listed in May 2023.
For most of those first 10 months, Sui had only around 70M in TVL, while its market cap fluctuated between 300M–500M.
Honestly, $SUI mostly just ranged between $0.40 and $0.70.
Beyond buying SUI to stake or lend at around 16% APY, there wasn’t much real demand for the token. The ecosystem was still extremely young, with very few assets to trade.
Users mostly spent their SUI on OG memes like $SCB, $FUD, and $BLUB, or NFTs like DSL and Prime Machine.
I remember thinking about giving up on $SUI more than once, especially when it was massively underperforming $SOL and $ETH.
Then everything changed.
$SUI went from $0.36 to $2.10, a 500% move from the bottom.
Its market cap grew from roughly 400M to 2.3B.
And this happened despite the constant token unlock narrative.
After that, more projects started building, meme culture exploded, GameFi and ponzinomics took off, and suddenly everyone wanted to accumulate as much SUI as possible.
Monad feels very similar right now.
The same pattern is playing out arguably even stronger, with TVL growing rapidly thanks to its EVM compatibility and integration with established lending protocols.
If this cycle follows a similar path, I wouldn’t be surprised if Monad sets a new ATH within the next 2–3 months, potentially even trading above its initial listing price before November 2026.
Here’s my personal expectation for the first major pump, based on a few criteria I’ve been tracking market capacity, liquidity, ecosystem growth, and the broader market environment:
$MON: $0.017 → $0.10
Market cap: 200M → 1B
That’s my base-case expectation for the first major move.
However, this thesis is invalidated if $MON revisits its ATL below $0.017.
Just my personal take, based on my experience following and participating in Sui since 2023.
Not financial advice. DYOR. Have a nad day 🟪
The truth most holders don’t want to hear:
You spend real USDT to buy.
The project team creates tokens at virtually zero cost.
If a project has no product, no revenue, and no users, then the only thing supporting its price is hope.
And hope can be sold at any time.
Imagine I created $LAB, pumped it from $0 to $25, then watched it crash back to $0.1.
You buy at $0.1, hoping I’ll pump it again so you can break even.
Why?
Why would I push the price back up so you can take profits, when I can simply mint more tokens or launch a brand-new project and repeat the same cycle?
Don’t fall in love with coins.
Fall in love with cash flow.
The day you can answer that question is the day you stop thinking like a holder and start thinking like someone who actually makes money.
