There has never been a worse human in the #txlege Mom and dads are crying in the gallery over losing their precious daughters in the flood and this guy still has to make it all about himself.
Government solutions are often worse than the problems they claim to solve.
Unfortunately, that happened with HB1 today, which started out as a good bill that I intended to support.
However, Democrats were allowed to amend the bill on the floor in a way that may harm or shut down countless camps where safety has not been an issue, nor is likely to be at risk from life threatening floods.
I respectfully voted NO.
It is indefensible that after breaking quorum for weeks House leadership rewarded them today by allowing them to ruin what started out as a good, reasonable bill that I had supported.
My job starts back up tomorrow. I signed a contract (pledged to the constitution) . I was hired (elected) as the best person to execute my job. If I choose to not show up (flee to Chicago), they will replace my position (vacate the seat). I love my job, I will be there. #txlege
