Back in September of last year, when we decided to bring Roger back, I sent the team a YouTube link to “that famous video” because I wanted us to recreate it. Some of the younger team members had never seen it before.

I wasn’t personally involved in editing this video, but I heard yesterday that around springtime the team was actually hesitating over whether to include the recreation because they were running out of time. Apparently, Nakatsu’s final direction was, “We absolutely have to do it.”

To be honest, I had already given up on it myself. I thought, “They probably won’t do that gag anymore. They’ve probably forgotten about it.”

So when I saw it yesterday, it genuinely made me smile. I thought, “Ah, they actually did it!”

Great job to both the team and Nakatsu.

A couple of weeks ago I was speaking on stream about an idea I had to start an offline weekly Tekken 8 league in London 🇬🇧 so we could all practice & get stronger together.

​Back when I started at the end of Tekken 6 & through TTT2, there were multiple offline weekly events to practice & some people also kindly opened their houses to 10-15+ players to grind Tekken on other days of the week.

​My idea would be to have some sort of league over a couple of weeks where you would accumulate points, finishing with a top 8 finals.

​It would be free to enter and would have prizes/giveaways for people who attend! 😊

​Things are already in motion so stay tuned for more updates 😉 & if you have any ideas, please feel free to let me know!

It’s nostalgic for me!
At the time, I quietly believed that Guilty Gear deserved to reach the stage of becoming its first million-selling — even double-million-selling — title.
I approached Arc’s president and proposed that we handle the publishing. In the end, that became a reality in many regions, and GG Strive turned out to be the biggest success the series had ever seen. It’s a title that remains especially memorable to me as well.
