Yet Albany Democrats have decided these words are the problem.

A bill now on Hochul’s desk would replace mother with “gestating parent” and father with “non-gestating parent” throughout New York law.

After a budget that was nearly two months late, record spending, rising taxes, soaring energy costs, and an affordability crisis, this is what they chose to prioritize.

Hochul’s office says she believes “mothers are mothers and fathers are fathers.” Good. Prove it, Governor: VETO the bill.

You don’t get to campaign as a mom, govern as a mom, and then sign a law erasing the word.

The words mother and father survived 3,400 years of wars, empires, invasions, plagues, and revolutions.

They shouldn’t have to survive Albany Democrats too.
