An Open Letter to Vice President JD Vance
From a Fellow Catholic, Father, and American Citizen
JD Vance,
I write to you not as a Democrat or a Republican. I write to you as a Catholic man who believes that faith without action is not faith at all. You and I share something sacred — a tradition that calls us to protect the vulnerable, to speak truth to power, and to stand in the gap when no one else will. That is why I am writing to you today.
I am a father. I am an American. I am a man who has spent his life studying geopolitics and understanding how the world holds itself together — and how quickly it can come apart. What I am watching unfold in our country right now does not align with intelligence. It does not align with reason. And it does not align with the faith you and I both profess.
Our president threatened to end a civilization. He used language on Easter Sunday — a day sacred to both of us — to threaten the bombing of civilian infrastructure. Power plants. Bridges. These are war crimes under international law. Our military professionals — men and women who swore the same oath you did — have been fired or forced to resign for telling the truth. Our intelligence community has been sidelined. Our allies are watching in disbelief. And the advisors around this president are not steadying the ship. They are flailing.
I say this with no pleasure. He is our president. That is not a small thing. But there must be an adult in the room. And JD — right now that adult is you.
The 25th Amendment exists precisely for moments like this. Not as a political weapon. Not as a partisan tool. But as a safeguard — written into our Constitution by men who understood that power without accountability is the end of everything they built. Scott McConnell, the co-founder of The American Conservative, a man from your own tradition, has already called on you to act. He is not alone. The calls are coming from across the political spectrum because what we are witnessing transcends politics.
This is about the survival of our republic. This is about whether we remain a nation of laws or become something none of us recognize.
And JD — it is about the children. The most vulnerable among us. The ones who cannot protect themselves. The ones who depend on the adults in power to be worthy of that power. I have dedicated my life to that belief. As a father. As a man of faith. As someone who knows personally what it means when the adults in the room fail to protect the children in their care. I am asking you to be worthy of this moment.
You have the position. You have the faith. You have the constitutional authority. History will not remember who stayed quiet to protect their political future. History will remember who stood up when it mattered most.
If you will not act — then I am calling on the American people to use every peaceful, constitutional, and legal means available to make their voices heard. Call your representatives. Demand accountability. Show up. Speak up. Do not sit on your hands and watch. None of us can afford to be bystanders right now.
This is not the end of America. But it will be if good people stay silent.

Calling a former First Lady a man at a public event is not politics. It’s cruelty. And silence on cruelty is not neutrality. It’s permission.
Decency doesn’t belong to one side. It belongs to all of us. Or it belongs to none of us.

That’s the most honest thing said on this platform today. The armor keeps us safe and keeps us stuck at the same time. Appreciate you saying it out loud. Connection over conquest. 👑
This is great advice Rachelle. I truly appreciate the constructive feedback. Giving in to the temptation of adding my two cents to the inane political rhetoric on this platform is so unsatisfying. Everyone puts on their armor picks up their teams flag and goes on the attack. I certainly haven’t been above that over the past week. And to what end? What I have been struggling with is whether and when to defend myself and my family against some of the more heinous accusations without being defensive. That’s been hard to figure out sometimes. The number of people/ bots/ trolls/ whatever that call me and my dad pedophiles, make claims of incest and treason and crimes against humanity is really staggering. All of it based on a wholly fabricated line of lies that they point to as truth. There is a a tactic that totalitarian regimes use called “eliminationist rhetoric.” The idea is that if you can get even a small percentage of a population to believe the absolute worst about someone (pedophile) then convincing a larger percentage of a lesser yet no more fact based crime is that much easier (bribery). Putin perfected what the Nazi’s invented on his rise to power.
When you are on the receiving end of it your first instinct is that it’s so ridiculous that of course you just ignore it. But instead of going away it festers and worms its way into people’s brains. It’s maddening.
It’s particularly maddening because it’s almost always projection on the part of this crew at least. The accusations of corruption and sex crimes and bribery. There is a mountain of actual facts that we all know about this regime and instead they play the grade school game of “I know you are, but what am I.” And the mainstream media just goes on with what they call “balanced” journalism. There is no balance between lies and truth. One should always weigh more than the other.
Nevertheless, thank you for the open advice. I received it I hope in the spirit it was given. I’ve only really been her for about a week and I’m trying to find the right mix that’s true to me, because I don’t have the luxury of being anything but me. Keeping letting me know when you thinking I’m not doing my best.
I find it deeply troubling that cruelty has become the currency of public discourse. The people entrusted to lead us were given something sacred. And some of them are spending it on contempt for the vulnerable instead of dignity for all.
That’s not leadership. That’s a forfeiture.

@BasedMikeLee And it’s not to go into your coffers; instead, it should build schools and communities. Republicans can no longer say anything; you’re part of the problem in America. You’re all takers.
@HunterBiden This platform was built for division. That’s not an accident, that’s a feature. I’m rooting for you Hunter and for every American who still believes we have more in common than what separates us. One act of kindness at a time. #ConnectionOverConquest
She reported it. No violation found. She sued in New York. The company countersued her in Texas. In a town the owner built. Before a judge who owns stock in the company. The California AG issued a cease and desist. The company is still operating. Go find Ashley St. Clair’s video. Watch it in her own words. Follow the pattern.

@Mangan150@SenWarren Taxes are not theft. The majority of Medicare fraud occurs through overbilling by doctors and corporations. For more information, ask Rick Scott.
Hunter Biden, now seven years sober, has returned to social media with force, doing something many Democrats have been reluctant to do: going after Trump where it stings most, while keeping a sense of humor.
@chumplumpcocon1@krassenstein What he’s saying is not happening. That’s the point! He has you idiots hanging on every single word. You guys are gullible af.
